WebAug 2, 2024 · My stock battery would be dead all the time at about 20 months old. One night I jumped it in the dark and hooked it up backwards for about 1/2 second and it of course sparked. That was the last straw and I got the battery replaced next day, no farther problems. Use a multimeter to check resistance on the large starter fuse. WebWhen you hooked the battery up backwards you blew the 100Amp main fuse. You have two fuse boxes. One under the hood and one under the steering wheel. i recommend a look at the fuses in general. Which that 100 Amp fuse may bring some life back to the car there could be some more stuff to look at depending on how much (if) any damage was done.
